A. Several lanes will be reserved for the event. Please look for Every Mother Counts banner.
B. All participants should scan their YMCA membership cards or register at the front desk. Participants can use the lockers or leave their belongings on the table provided for each lane.
C. Qualified lifeguards will monitor the pool for the entire event.
D. Every swimmer should sign the participation waiver before the swim and sign-out by recording their number of laps after the swim.
E. Participants under 18 years are to be supervised by parent, legal guardian or coach at all times. Guardians of participants under 18 years of age, who are not registered as part of a swim team, must provide written consent.
F. For official event record (fastest 26.2 miles) within each team all member shall be allowed equal swim time or distance; flotation or training devices are not permitted*.
I. Each lane will be split and used by two swimmers or a group (i.e.team, family)
K. Good sportsman-like conduct will be demanded of all competitors. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will be grounds for instant disqualification.
L. This swim practice is a strictly smoke, drug and alcohol free event.
M. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure their health and safety to swim.
N. In person donations are accepted - all proceeds benefit Every Mother Counts
*A floatation device is defined (but not limited to): Kick boards / Swimming noodles / Pull buoys / Flippers/ Paddles
